Henrietta Norris is a ceramicist with a Diploma of Art (Ceramics) from the Australian National University (ANU). The intersection of creativity, utility and science drew Henrietta to ceramics: “clay is sensual; malleable, yet enduring once fired”. Her thematic focus is phenomenological; creating nature orientated objects that embody emotional and perceptual experience.

Henrietta has won several awards for her ceramic sculptures, including a Highly Commended from the Tasmanian Ceramics Association in 2014; a Highly Commended from the Arts Society of Tasmania in 2013; a University Acquisition Award and Technical Excellence Award from ANU in 2010; the Emerging Artists Support Scheme Post Graduate Exhibition Award from the Canberra Potters Society in 2010; and an Acquisition Award from Benchmarking Birches Bay in 2010.
